EC Lyons Lozenge Graver

EC Lyons makes high-quality tools for wood engraving. This diamond-shaped tool creates a V-shaped line deeper than it is wide. Made from high-carbon tool steel.

The numbering of these tools corresponds to the size of the cutting edge, typically measured by its width or angle.

#2 is a fine tool that will produce very delicate, thin lines. Great for intricate detail or as a starting point.

#4 is a fine-medium tool. Great for detail, line work, creating stippled textures (pecking), and producing lines that swell and taper. 

#5 and #6 are medium tools used for general line work. These tools can create a varied line by altering the pressure. Great for flowing, organic marks.

These tools are factory sharp but not honed.
